2015 Financial Analysis

A note on our 100% Model: All of the funds used for salaries, rent, fundraising and other operating expenses come from a group of dedicated donors who give explicitly for that purpose. We call them The Water Council. That means that 100% of all public donations are committed to projects. We keep separate accounts to make it easier to keep track of these funds.

At the end of the year, we prepare this set of financial documents to track our spending. You will see that program expenses include staffing, web development and other operational expenses covered by our 100% model. Even though these are listed as "program expenses," the funds used to cover these items all came from The Water Council.

The accompanying statements of financial position of The Dig Deep Right to Water Project as of December 31, 2014 and 2015, and the related statements of activities, functional expenses and cash flows for the years then ended have been prepared by Valerie Wiesen in her capacity as Financial Consultant for The Dig Deep Right to Water Project for management use only.
